  Remembering Brent Richard Neville

Brent Richard Neville

Brent Richard Neville affectionately known as “Nev” to his friends and teammates was killed by an impaired driver on 17 March 2006 (his Mom’s birthday) in Calgary, AB. Brent was born on 5 October 1984 in Red Deer, AB. His proud parents are Rick and Aleta as well as his older sister, Shelley and younger brother, Ryan.

Brent spent his early childhood in Truro, N.S. and Forestburg, AB. These were special times for Brent and family that left many fond memories. Upon returning to Red Deer, Brent was an honor student throughout school and college and just completed his business degree at Red Deer College and Athabasca University. Brent’s goal was to follow in his father’s footsteps and was in the process of applying for the RCMP when the crash happened. Brent was known for his pleasant nature and had a smile that always graced his face. His laugh was infectious. Brent respected everyone and could never say no to a friend.

Brent had a passion for sports and was a naturally gifted athlete. Hockey, ball and golf were just three of the sports in which Brent excelled. Brent always found time for his family and friends and never missed an opportunity to say “I Love You”. Brent has both enriched and forever touched the lives of those around him. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
